"The House Next Door: A Ghost Story by Darcy Coates"

                    This is another book I love by Darcy Coates. She is my 

favorite author for paranormal books. This book is about a girl

who lives next to a haunted house who watches people come and

go from the house next door. She also sees the lights turn off and 

on when the house is vacant.  The house gets a new owner who

becomes a friend of Josephine's, when most of the time she avoids

her neighbors, because she knows they will not stay long and she

does not want to be with involved with the house. Her new next 

door neighbor is a young girl Josephine's age, who is hiding from

her abusive husband. She seems very sad and lost so Josephine

helps her out knowing the house is probably the last place for this

poor lost girl.  Between the house being haunted with the ghost 

scaring her, the young girl also has to deal with her husband 

stalking her so Josephine befriends her and helps in any way 

she can. It also means that Josephine is in danger. This book has

some excitement and it is very scary in places. It is definitely

a book to read during this time of year.
